Good evening parents/guardians, After careful consideration, there will be no school Friday, Jan 30th. We really tried to make it happen but there are still too many bad areas within our district. Let's start fresh Monday! Have a great weekend!

Wynnewood Public Schools will be closed as well as all related activities on Thursday, January 29th. While most main roads are now clear, many side streets and rural roads remain unsafe. Although school and city staff worked hard to clear areas around the school, we want to make sure there's no question about student and staff safety. We appreciate the understanding and patience of our community as we work to reopen school as safely as possible. Thank you for your patience and continued support.

Due to continued hazardous road conditions, we feel it is be necessary to cancel school and all related activities on Wednesday, January 28th. Stay safe and we'll keep you posted on upcoming days!

Good evening Wynnewood, Since Mother Nature is unpredictable, we will move to distance learning for Friday, Jan 23rd. We want to err on the side of caution as it may freeze and become dangerous at 5pm or it could be 11am. Your child has been sent home with some school work. We will provide assistance to them, if needed, upon return. Please be safe and warm out there!

January is School Board recognition month. We wanted to thank these gentlemen for their service to our school district. We appreciate everything they do! Be sure to say thanks when you see them!

Just a quick update as we have started another school year. Obviously, there are a lot of behind the scenes work going on with our Architect team. The development of the Band room, AG addition, Complex light and locker rooms, and HS remodel will begin after bids for the Elementary are completed. This timeline is a rough estimate and in no way is guaranteed as things will come up. Hang in there as we are just as excited as you are to see the ground breaking!

Elementary Timeline:
7/28/25 – Construction Documents – documents received, reviewed, and returned to engineers
9/15/25 – Construction Documents – documents to be shared with Construction Manager, reviewed, marked-up, bid packages created (30-days)
10/13/25 – Construction Documents (start bidding process)
11/20/25 – anticipated Bid Opening (bids received and read outload)
December 2025 – Construction Starts!
August 2027 – Anticipated Opening!

All students enrolled in the district will receive main line breakfast and lunch at no charge. By providing breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge, we can create a better learning environment for our students. If you have any questions please contact your child's school.
